Is Social Media HARD?

Is Social Media HARD?

The social media management and marketing is not hard provided you follow the right tips. People when they find your Facebook page, your Twitter account, or your Google Plus page they should just automatically connect with it.

But you need to tell your friends about your social media presence and request them to spread the word. Besides, you need to give people a reason to follow you and/or connect with you.

Merely having a Facebook page will not suffice. You must make efforts to ensure your audience grows. You must run ads and share your page with maximum number of people. More importantly, you must ask your friends to help by “liking” your page.

Please appreciate that social media marketing is no different from “word of mouth marketing”. The social media platform doesn’t matter.

If your friends won’t or can’t like your page, why should anyone else.
In order to enlarge your audience, you need to give them a reason to join in our conversations. You need to provide them with a valid reason to visit, and a reason to share your ideas and services.

The perception is that social marketing is easy, but the fact is it is an art and science. It takes time to build robust relationships, and it takes a lot of expertise to become a thought leader.

To build your social media relationships follow these simple steps:
1. Share interesting and informative content.
2. Be courteous and adopt a humane attitude
3. Share content as frequently as possible.
4. Establish yourself as an authority in your field
5. Do not hesitate to ask for help.

Challenges in social media for business houses are inevitable. Use the right social media tools to promote your brand. A recent study has found that nearly 70 percent of companies offer social media channels for customer service. But only 31 percent of consumers are making use of them. Businesses must, therefore, work harder to go to the social networks their customers use. They must persistently engage with their customers by providing useful information.

There is a lot of noise in the social media. Making yourself heard, above all, the other social messages are rather difficult. You must adopt the right strategy to cut through all this noise and reach your existing and prospective customers.

Business owners should seek out areas where potential customers regularly proliferate. They should cultivate customer communities that will spread the business’ brand and message to others.
