How to Get More Followers on Any Social Media

There is no purpose being on social media unless you have a large following. There are several easy ways you can get more social media followers:

Make it a point to add buttons to your blog and even other website pages that facilitate visitors to share your content on all major social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.

It is absolutely essential that you share quality content if you wish to lure more followers. If you have interesting and informative content on your social media profiles, there is a greater possibility of your getting more followers.

Request your employees to follow/like/subscribe to your social media profiles. This can be highly helpful. People are more likely to follow pages that already have some sort of following. So you can use your employees to build your initial numbers.

For a start, also invite partners, vendors, existing customers and other stakeholders. Send a friendly and personalized email to anyone that has a business relationship with you, letting them know about your social media profiles.

It would be an excellent idea if you add links to your company’s social media profiles in your company email signature. You can preferably create a signature template that includes these links. You can request all your colleagues to use this signature as well.

When you make a comment on a blog post, link to your most active social media profile preferably in a signature-like style. Experts recommend cross promotion. For instance, add your Twitter link to your Facebook page, and occasionally tweet about your Facebook page. You may also cross-promote on different social media sites like Flickr, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.

Include links to your social media profile on your ‘contact us’ or ‘about us’ page. This will further accentuate the idea that your customers/ prospects can reach out to you in social media just like they would through email or phone.

Include links to your most active social media profiles on your company business cards below the contact information.  Include links to your social media profiles in the footer of any company email you send out and newsletters. Include links to your social media profiles on all sales promotion literature, direct mail, catalogs, coupons etc.

The more followers you have on social media sites, the greater the benefits your business will derive. Followers have a proportional impact on how far and wide your message spreads and the number of prospects you convert.
